A lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act now has more support behind it ? including the state of Texas.
The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), a Washington, D.C.-based public policy group has announced that eight states have been added to the list of plaintiffs challenging Dodd-Frank. Besides Texas, the list includes Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio and West Virginia.
These states join an ever-growing list of plaintiffs that also includes Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Michigan; as well as the State National Bank of Big Spring, Texas; the 60 Plus Association and CEI.
The lawsuit was originally filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on June 21, 2012.
