Guests are complaining on the "TripAdvisor" website about being ill whilst on holiday at the Baron Palms Resort.
One guest from Leeds said "I did get ill myself, and had to be treated by antibiotics and a 1 hour i/v drip for dehydration."
Another guest had a terrible experience writing "We were meant to stay 10 days and came home on 6th after spending 4 ill. We've been all over the world and never wanted to come home so badly.
"After having to get a doctor to the room, be injected and hooked to a drip we knew it was time to leave before our 4yr old son became ill. My partner is rarely ill but it got us both. There were plenty of others too from what we heard."
Another guest from Merseyside said "During my stay there I was ill with a stomach bug which had to be treated with antibiotics. From the small numbers of people we spoke to 6 of them had had the same stomach bug.
"None of the staff in the food areas wore gloves and there were no hand sanitising points anywhere in the hotel."
Hygiene and cleanliness are they most important factors to prevent illness spreading around a hotel. For a hotel to have such a lax approach to this, means that illness would be inevitable.
Not only did this family not enjoy their stay, they had to pay extra money for another flight home. For a family to return home after only 6 days because of how ill they felt shows the necessity for compensation claims.
