This week?s kick ass chick is none other than Florida resident and gamer girl extraordinaire, Krysti Pryde. Krysti was selected out of thousands of applicants to compete on season three of The Tester,?a reality program where the winner gets to be a professional game tester and win other sweet prizes. The world watched as Krysti and several others competed in an assortment of challenges: from playing video games to a blind-folded scavenger hunt in a sandpit, she even interviewed with a box of roaches on her head! Krysti placed Runner Up for the season, but her impact on the female gaming community deserves a grand prize.

Krysti has set out to disprove the stereotype within the gaming community that female gamers are gaming to seek attention from males. Her passion for the industry is something she?s fueled since childhood. Many girls have reached out after her appearance on The Tester and expressed their gratitude for encouraging them to feel more confident about being ?gamer nerds.? Her favorite part of her newly gained notoriety has been the letters and gifts she has received from her fans. She hopes she can continue to inspire others to follow their passion just as she has.

Besides kicking ass and taking names in the gaming world, Krysti enjoys bike rides, Sci-fi and Astronomy. Her biggest regret? Not becoming a mad scientist of course! She?s also involved in a video game related charity called www.extra-life.org, geez?Beauty, brains and a heart of gold! This girl is seriously collecting some good karma. I tried to get her to spill the beans on her current/future projects but they are apparently TOP SECRET. Krysti Pryde is definitely the embodiment of GIRL POWER and we here at WASABI salute her.
